Golf Club Manufacturer Cleaning

Cleaning/ degreasing application.

Golf club manufacturing — paint removal, grip solvent, lubricant.

Current Problem.

Workers experience constant respiratory problems and miss work often. 1,1,1-Trichloroethane (TCA) is the main solvent used in the industry. Production plants are filled with toxic vapors from TCA. TCA is listed on the SARA Title III, Section 313 toxic chemicals list. TCA contains known carcinogens. Regulatory administration expense for TCA is extremely high.

BioChem solution.

BioChem’s full strength, low-residue formula, Bio T 200A, is an ideal replacement for 1,1,1 trichloroethane in this cleaning application. Bio T 200A is a non-ozone depleting solvent. It is biodegradable, non-toxic, non-corrosive and free of petroleum distillates and chlorinated solvents. It provides the highest level of cleaning strength, and is safe for workers and the environment.

  • Bio T 200A reduces employee health risks and increases employee productivity. It can be used for many cleaning applications. Less solvent is used due to Bio T 200A’s low vapor pressure and evaporation rate.
  • Bio T 200A is the product of choice in the golf club manufacturing industry. Below are some of the applications in which Bio T 200A is used:
  • Bio T 200A is used to remove excess paint in detail paint areas. It will not smear paint and dries with virtually no residue. Bio T 200A is applied to a rag and excess paint is wiped off.
  • Bio T 200A is used as a grip solvent. It is used in the same manner as traditional gripping solvents. However, Bio T 200A has been proven to reduce the amount of solvent used for gripping by 40 to 65 percent. This translates into major cost savings and reduced emissions.
  • Bio T 200A has proven to be a very effective lubricant. It has drastically prolonged the life of the drill bits used to drill the hole required for the golf club shaft.
  • Bio T 200 A is an ideal solvent for removing buffing compounds inside the golf club head during final finish prior to packaging for shipment.
