Current problem.

Currently, many low purity terpene based products are used in the roofing industry. Many of these products contain petroleum solvents or other toxic chemicals in order to reduce the price of the product.

Many of these products use toxic chemicals like glycol ether EB. Some competitive products even use caustic soda or metasilicates as a filler. These products have a high pH (12) that makes them corrosive to the skin or some metals.

Some competitive products have been diluted with mineral spirits. Mineral spirits will lower the cost of the product but have a negative impact on its performance. Many products use poor emulsifying surfactants. These surfactants do not form stable emulsions when mixed with water. This makes it very difficult to rinse equipment or form stable emulsions for light cleaning applications.

Customers deserve high quality citrus products. Products that do not contain alkaline builders or petroleum based fillers.
