BICEP™ is specially formulated to clean printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing equipment. BICEP is ideal for cleaning:
DES machines

  • develop and strip sumps
  • spray nozzles
  • rollers

It quickly and effectively removes the buildup of residues from the inside equipment.

  • dry film photo resist
  • solder mask flux residue
  • other stubborn contaminants

BICEP cleans without harming:

  • all metals
  • PVC and CPVC
  • urethane
  • polycarbonate
  • VITON® and Teflon® seals

Save time. Save money.
BICEP™ quickly and effectively removes residues from PCB manufacturing equipment. The traditional process for cleaning this equipment with hazardous caustics can take up to 24 hours. BICEP does the job in about one hour! Follow with a quick water rinse and you’re back up and running. And equipment is cleaner than ever—BICEP cleans so thoroughly that equipment does not need to be cleaned as frequently.

PCB manufacturers are also saving money by reusing BICEP. Unlike caustic cleaners, BICEP can be reused several times. The result is a significant reduction in chemical costs and costs associated with hazardous waste disposal!

BICEP does not require heating.
Caustic cleaners like sodium hydroxide (typically used for this cleaning process) must be heated to approximately 180ºF to clean. BICEP is highly effective when used at room temperature. It does not need to be heated. With soaring energy prices, the result is a significant cost savings for the manufacturer!

BICEP is safe for employees.
BICEP eliminates many of the worker safety issues that exist with caustic cleaning processes. Employees who work around caustic cleaners are at risk of being burned by these high pH chemicals. Additionally, the heating of caustics causes the release of harmful vapors into the work environment. Employees can experience coughing and burning in their lungs from continuous exposure to these caustic vapors. Because BICEP is used at room temperature, employees are not exposed to these harmful vapors.

Eliminates environmental compliance concerns.
BICEP is biodegradable, non-toxic, non-corrosive and free of petroleum distillates and chlorinated solvents. It is the environmentally friendly alternative to hazardous solvents. It’s completely safe for our environment. BICEP does not contain any chelating agents.

The major component of BICEP is approved by the FDA as a food additive and is included in the “Generally Regarded as Safe” or GRAS list under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1958. BICEP complies with major regulatory guidelines and alleviates the confusion and concern associated with compliance.
