Tarpedo™ quickly and effectively dissolves ready-mix and concentrated coal tar sealers as we as:
- asphalt
- adhesives
- cosmoline
- heavy grease & oil
- other tough contaminants
Tarpedo is specially formulated for the paving industry. It’s designed to rinse easily with water.
Use Tarpedo to clean:
- coal tar sealer equipment
- asphalt and paving equipment
- hand tools
- maintenance vehicles
- other related equipment
It’s ideal for replacing the following hazardous and toxic solvents regularly used in the paving industry.
- glycol ether EB
- mineral spirits
- diesel fuel
- chlorinated solvents (TCE and methylene chloride)
Tarpedo is simple to use.
Use full strength to remove ready-mix and concentrated coal tar sealers, asphalt, adhesives, grease, oil and other tough contaminants.
*Protect plastic (Lexan), rubber, waxed and other similar surfaces from overspray. CAUTION: Product will damage surfaces like automobile headlights and taillights. If product is sprayed on these surfaces, rinse immediately with water.
- Apply Tarpedo directly on surface to be cleaned.
- Use cloth or rag to wipe surface clean.
- Rinse thoroughly with water.
- Repeat as needed for heavy deposits.
- Clean up and dispose of any contaminated liquid or rags in accordance with local, state and federal requirements.

Tarpedo is safe for employees and the environment. It’s partially biodegradable and has minimal toxicity, reducing environmental impact and making it more friendly for workers than products that contain glycol ether EB and other hazardous solvents.
With a flash point of 145ºF (TCC). Tarpedo is not considered hazardous for shipping by ground or air according to IATA and U.S. DOT regulations.
